How Can An Engineer Help Boost Your Company’s Sales in 2009
|
Finding someone who writes advertisements and promotional materials who can, also, handle business-to-business, and high-tech areas… especially brochures, direct mail, and other advanced advertising assignments can be challenging. It’s detailed work, and in many cases, extremely methodical. You need somebody with the technical know-how of an engineer and the communication skills of a copywriter...
|
Do you have that same problem?
Well… let me help.
As a freelance business and high-tech copywriter who’s also a degreed engineer, I know how to write clear, technically sound, solid selling copy that piques your most valued prospect’s interest, arouses their desire and moves them to action.
That means… getting tangible, measurable, profitable results for every dollar you spend.
So how can I help you?
Well… As a freelance copywriter, I write persuasive content that…
- Helps create new products or entire new product lines… that will add to your bottom line
- Brings in hundreds or thousands of new customers… generating an increase in revenue
- Causes existing customers to order more frequently
- Helps each customer make larger purchases each time they order… increasing the overall value of your in-house file and your company
- Keeps customers with you longer and keeps them active longer
How?… Well… I’ll tell you more about that in a minute.
|
First let me tell you what I bring to the table…
I’m one of those engineers that people snicker about – a woman engineer. Mom always said I was mechanically inclined… so I thought being an engineer would be the perfect fit.
I graduated from Oregon Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
But I’ve spent all of my engineering career in the ‘people business’ – twenty-five plus years in the aerospace and heavy truck industries… working with companies like… GM Hughes Electronics, Boeing, and William’s Controls, Inc. just to mention a few.
I found out early that I liked working with people more than sitting at a computer and designing all day long.
I, also, liked research and writing. Writing things like… tech manuals and detailed work instructions... instructions that had to be written clearly… easy to read and simple to follow.
One of my most memorable successes came early in my career when I reduced the assembly time for one of the key components of the AMRAAM missile.
Mitch L. from Tucson, AZ says… Cherryl reduced assembly time for one of our main production lines -- from 24 hours to 4 hours -- resulting in a cost savings of $1,160,000 per year.
For the past couple of years, I’ve immersed myself in acquiring a new skill… copywriting. Studying and practicing assorted persuasive techniques... creating sales copy that form emotional connections for your product or service with your prospect -- building trust and a relationship so he will ‘respond to your offer’.
So getting back to the question… How can I help you?
By…
- Producing eye catching headlines …
- Showing the benefits to the your prospect …
- Creating powerful leads …
- Telling a story or anecdote …
- Adding proof and documentation that verifies how and why you’ll be able to deliver
- Presenting a “call to action” so that the prospective client calls you
So… even though copywriting is my most recent writing skill, I’m confident in my technical expertise and my ability to write clearly and persuasively. I’d really enjoy helping you create ads, brochures, and other promotions. Just contact me when your marketing team is overloaded, or when the project is of a technical nature.
Oh… and I almost forgot… I, also, have some graphic design background, so I can help with layout issues too.
